Industrial Designer at Aventon

Description:

The Industrial Designer will combine art, business, and engineering knowledge to develop concepts for our product lines. Using your considerable production design experience and innovative thinking, you will be responsible for creating designs for bicycle components, accessories, and equipment.

  • Work closely with the Creative and Manufacturing team
  • Creation of outstanding design proposals and design details for production projects ranging from bicycles to accessories and equipment.
  • Create visualizations and develop design proposals in sketches, renderings, and 3D models.
  • Come up with design solutions that fit the engineering constraints.
  • Follow up on projects and meet deadlines during the design development phase.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or similar.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience as an industrial designer; experience in mobility / automotive is preferred.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of prototyping, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
  • Proficient in digital 3D modeling (i.e., Alias, Speedform, Rhino, etc.)
  • Outstanding visual and oral communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities.
  • Available for occasional evening/weekend work during busy periods.
  • 3D animation, color & material, and graphic design are a big plus.
