Job Description: Art Director (Graphic Design) - Fulltime

MIG is growing, and we're looking for a qualified Senior Graphic Designer to not only help lead a design team but also be actively involved in creating the highest caliber visual and brand design for a variety of mediums. The candidate we're looking for is comfortable with client meetings, has the listening skills to translate a dynamic range of creative requests into a creative vision, and is flexible enough to work within the creative framework of multiple big-tech brand structures. You'll be working with a team of seasoned creatives in both the art and technical fields and project managers that need to move pretty fast to keep up with client demands.

We are looking for a highly talented Senior Visual Designer for a full-time position that is interested in working with a group of 110 professionals working out of a 100,000 sq ft campus in Boca Raton, Florida. Those whose primary mission is creating extraordinary live and virtual events, creative digital content, and trade shows for some of the best and most significant companies in the world. We are looking for someone who doesn't just talk to talk, but walks the walk.

Your Role

· Understanding, interpreting, and communicating client's and Creative Director's vision and design needs with straightforward yet innovative design solutions from concept to execution to completion.

· Creating visual toolkits for an entire program from pre-event communication, event content (for the screen, digital, print, and environmental assets), web/app/ platform content, to post-event communication.

· Learning and understanding how technology brings to life content as well as understanding technology's limitations and how to best apply the technology to enhance the content.

· Learning, understanding, and executing a client's brand in the creation of all content while maintaining brand consistency (including but not limited to style guidelines, company values, mission, and goals) across all designs

· Ability to work on many client deadline-driven projects simultaneously

· Execution of standalone design assignments in addition to working within a creative team setting and a team of Creative Directors, designers, editors, and/or animators

· Developing design briefs for new projects by gathering information and data of that client through research

· Design, prepare and/or enhance engaging presentations (in PPT and Keynote) based on scripts and/or outlines

· Designing and creating compelling content and visuals that make an impact and tell a story for live and virtual events, creative digital content, and tradeshows.

· Designing visual storyboards to breakdown a video and/or animation piece

· Creating fully designed proposals (for print, email, or web) encompassing all creative ideas in response to an RFP

· Pitching ideas directly to clients - via phone, video chat, and/or in-person

Creative Background Profile

· Possesses expert technical skills using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and knowing when to use which software based on the creative needs

· Expertise in PowerPoint, including use of multiple masters, color themes, animations, transitions, actions, hyperlinking, interactivity, graphics, charts, and videos

· High level of creativity and originality with a strong visual sense in various mediums: digital for web and screen (static and animated content), print (collateral, venue branding, expo design), web and interactive media

· Experience designing for live and virtual events and tradeshows at a high level is a must

· Experience creating content for unusual aspect ratios

· Ability to present and explain ideas to clients and colleagues through written documentation, storyboarding, and presentation tools (Keynote, Powerpoint, etc)

· Proficiency in layout composition

· Excellent typographical design skills and the ability to create infographics that transform words into visuals

· Able to produce original illustrations for internal and client work

· Ability to apply/style brand guides in the execution of existing concepts

· Ability to creatively collaborate in a team setting and come up with multiple creative solutions based on client and budget

· Effortless storytelling and communication

· Self-starter that is comfortable working remotely and staying on track with all projects while keeping communication flowing between the team

· Experience with UX and UI design a plus

· Experience with Keynote a plus

· Experience with designing and executing print a plus

Administrative Background Profile

Flexibility and openness when receiving client and team feedback and offer constructive solutions as well as a compromise as needed to meet client needs

· Exceptional attention to detail (such as proofing, reviewing client changes, correct specs for the various mediums implemented)

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Comfortable working and collaborating with a team as well providing leadership/guidance to designers

· Comfortable working independently as needed

· Eagerness to keep up on trends and continue learning and growing with design skills, software, and technology

· Patience is a must and someone who "leads by example"

· Work well under pressure and in time-sensitive, rapidly evolving situations

· Ensures projects are completed at the highest quality and on schedule

· Organized and able to handle multiple projects at a time and able to switch between them seamlessly

· Able to communicate to the team the statuses of the projects and any outstanding needs while hitting deadlines for the project

· Proficient in a Microsoft Environment - Excel / Word and Teams / Planner

· Comfortable doing video conference calls with team members and clients

You Must Have

· Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a design position in a/v communications industry or related field

· Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Office 365, including Teams

· Excellent organizational skills as well as great verbal and written communication skills

· Experience as a leader and a team player who can work independently as projects require
